Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients and MHE-Demag contribute to Indonesia’s maritime infrastructure
Feb 2019- New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1) is the newest container terminal in Indonesia, developed to alleviate the overloading of Tanjung Priok port in north Jakarta, which has been handling more than half of the country’s total import and export volume.
To support efficient operations for NPCT1 and contribute to Indonesia’s logistics chain competitiveness, Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients and MHE-Demag stepped in to offer their industry-leading solutions.
Our Ingredients team supplied Protectosil BHN as an anti-corrosion agent for the underdeck coating of NPCT1’s concrete piles to protect the structure from seawater corrosion and improve durability.
Meanwhile, MHE-Demag installed a total package of 4,732 metres of A150 rails for the ship-to-shore cranes and handed over an eRTG (Rubber Tyre Gantry) system. The firstof-its-kind system in Indonesia is able to supply electrical power to RTG cranes with a total run of 5,782 metres of power feed lines and support structures.
