Crafting Greens Against the Storm

Amid Vietnam’s rolling countryside, one of Asia’s most ambitious golf course developments is taking shape.

The TUDI Golf Course, designed by Spanish golf legend José María Olazábal and his Olazábal Design company, marks his debut in Vietnam. Bringing this vision to life is the dedicated team from Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf and Irrigation.

What began as a small, focussed unit has grown into a leading force in golf course grow-in and maintenance. The team’s technical skill and adaptability are transforming difficult terrain into lush, playable fairways.

The project has not been without challenges. Extreme weather, steep slopes and complex logistics have tested every part of the execution. Yet, through collaboration and determination, the team continues to meet each obstacle with precision and creativity.

“The TUDI site is among the most complex we’ve ever worked on,” says Andre Gerber, Head Agronomist at Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf and Irrigation. “Being part of Olazábal’s first project in Vietnam is an honour and a reflection of our team’s talent and perseverance.”

This project highlights Vietnam’s growing role as a premier golf destination. It demonstrates even the most demanding landscapes can be transformed into something extraordinary.
