Deep beneath Melbourne’s iconic Emporium shopping precinct, two of Safetech’s most powerful creations continue to do the heavy lifting.

The twin 30-tonne scissor vehicle lifts, among the company’s largest locally built custom systems, have completed more than 350,000 cycles since their installation. Now, they arereceiving a well-earned overhaul to keep them operating at peak performance.

Designed to carry multiple trucks and delivery vans simultaneously, these colossal lifts are the only entry point to the building’s subterranean loading dock, making reliability essential. The latest works focus on preventative maintenance, including hydraulic hose and pump replacements to ensure optimal power along with new bearings and cylinder pins to reinforce strength and maintain smooth operation.
