"body": "
After a three-year hiatus, Jebsen & Jessen has resumed sustainability reporting based on last year’s data, and is set for incorporating further considerations in sustainable business operations.

The report consolidated the environmental, social and governance aspects of the Group’s diverse businesses and, for the first time, included newer entities from GMA and MSM acquired in 2024.

The pause in reporting has been deliberate for reassessment of the Group’s sustainability strategy. Reporting requirements have evolved, and so have stakeholder expectations. Although Jebsen & Jessen has started the sustainability journey decades ago and has been carbon neutral since 2011, the reboot allows greater focus on some of today’s more pressing sustainability issues.

In 2025, a Group-wide double materiality assessment has been conducted, examining how sustainability affects business and how in turn business affects the world. The outcome is a refined sustainability strategy built around six material topics now driving the Group’s action plans and targets. This is reflected in the new 2026 report.

On the environmental front, Jebsen & Jessen recorded about 70,000 tonnes in carbon emission across the business units which as usual will be offset. Myriad activities were held for social sustainability, including talent development initiatives along with the Group’s signature Meet a Need and Health & Wellness programmes. In governance, zero cases of corruption, significant non-compliance or data privacy breaches in 2025.

As the renewed sustainability framework kicks in, several material areas will receive higher attention, including accelerating renewable energy adoption and improving product safety measures.

A new Group-wide data platform has been implemented to provide consolidated visibility and prepare for mandatory ISSB-aligned reporting. Mandatory sustainability training has also been introduced to all staff this year as part of continuous education.

Chairman Heinrich Jessen said in his foreword: “By embedding sustainability into our core business processes and maintaining a long-term perspective, Jebsen & Jessen is well positioned to pursue responsible, resilient growth.”

",
