Two Decades of Trust

In Singapore’s precision-driven aerospace industry, where reliability is non-negotiable and safety defines success, some partnerships stand out for their quiet consistency.

One such story belongs to MHE, a Jebsen & Jessen brand, and Singapore Aero Engine Services Limited (SAESL), the joint venture between Singapore Airlines Engineering and Rolls-Royce that specialises in maintaining and overhauling Rolls-Royce Trent jet engines.

This collaboration began more than two decades ago when MHE delivered its first set of latching cranes to SAESL’s Calshot facility. What started as a single order evolved into a partnership built on trust, innovation and shared standards of excellence over the years.

This year that relationship reached new heights as SAESL awarded MHE a contract for a new generation of cranes, specially designed with advanced latching devices to boost safety and operational efficiency in one of the world’s most demanding technical environments. Behind the success lay more than a year of collaboration with technology partners in China to perfect a new latching mechanism, a design now proven in the field.

MHE’s role has also expanded to include upgrades for SAESL’s Seletar Assembly and Test Unit and continued maintenance support at Calshot. Together, the two companies are redefining what long-term partnership means in an industry driven by precision and performance.

For MHE the focus remains clear: to engineer smarter, safer lifting systems while deepening the bond with SAESL. It is a partnership that continues to lift both teams and Singapore’s aerospace standards.
